How Scent Haus Ensures Quality: Testing, Safety & What Goes Into Every Bottle
Trust is everything in perfumery. Anyone can put fragrance in a bottle. What separates a quality product from a cheap one is what happens before that bottle reaches you.
At Scent Haus, every inspired by fragrance we make goes through a rigorous process covering formulation, testing, concentration, and ingredient sourcing. Here is exactly what that looks like.
1. IFRA-Compliant Formulation
Every formula we produce follows the standards set by the IFRA (International Fragrance Association), the global body responsible for regulating safe and responsible perfumery. IFRA compliance is the industry benchmark, and it is non-negotiable for us.
What this means in practice:
- Usage levels are carefully controlled so every formula sits within safe limits
- Ingredients are assessed for skin compatibility before any product reaches production
- Allergen levels are strictly managed to meet international safety thresholds
This is the foundation. Nothing leaves our process without meeting it.
2. Third-Party Quality Testing
We do not test our own fragrances in-house and declare them good. Every batch is assessed by an external laboratory, independent of our production process.
External testing covers:
- Purity — verifying the formula contains exactly what it should
- Stability — confirming the scent remains consistent across its shelf life
- Consistency — ensuring each batch performs identically to the last
- Batch accuracy — checking that concentration and composition match the approved formula
This matters because self-certification is meaningless. Third-party testing gives our customers something objective to rely on.
3. High-Parfum Concentration
Many fragrances on the market are diluted heavily to reduce production costs. We take the opposite approach.
Our inspired by perfumes and aftershaves use a higher percentage of parfum than is standard at this price point. The result is noticeably better longevity and projection, which is why our customers consistently comment on how long their scent lasts through the day.
If you want to understand more about how concentration affects how a fragrance wears, our guide on how long fragrances last explains this in detail.
Lower concentration is cheaper to produce. But cheaper production has never been the Scent Haus way.
4. Premium Global Ingredients
The quality of a fragrance depends almost entirely on the quality of its raw materials. Our fragrance oils are sourced from the same global ingredient houses that supply the luxury perfumery industry.
This is not a marketing claim. It is a sourcing decision that directly affects how our scents smell, how they develop on skin, and how long they last. Rich, balanced, modern fragrance profiles require quality inputs. There is no shortcut to that.
5. Full Transparency
We are upfront about what goes into our products, how they are tested, and what concentration levels we use. You will not find vague claims or marketing language designed to obscure what you are actually buying.
This transparency extends across our entire range. Whether you are browsing our inspired fragrances for men or our inspired by perfumes for women, the standards behind every product are the same.
Quality is not a feature for us. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
